Over seven thousand children celebrate the Olympic Day 2021 in Kosovo
After a break last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, children joined the run in their own cities.
The main activity was held at the "Fadil Vokrri" Stadium in Prishtina, where children practiced various athletic disciplines.
The KOC President Ismet Krasniqi, in his word, emphasized the relevance of the Olympic Day, while requesting from teachers and parents to encourage their children to engage in sports, and to be inspired by our Hero, Majlinda Kelmendi, and many other athletes who will represent our country in the Olympics of Tokyo 2020.
An occasion was addressed also by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Daulina Osmani, who called on the children to engage in sports, in various activities, because sports can only positively impact their health.
In all municipalities, children were awarded shirts and medals, while the best athletes in running competitions were awarded in municipalities.
Along with such activities, hundreds of students of the AAB College organized a hike to the Luboten Mountain Top, to mark the Olympic Day.
The Olympic Day was held within the framework of the Olympic Week 2021, which in Kosovo began on 21 June and will conclude on 25th of June.
